So the old stainless ones still set off the scanner when walking through airport security. I had wanted nickel so that I did not have to take off my Hanks black dress belt at security. With the two screws that hold the buckle in place not being nickel, the scanner sstills goes off.

United StatesThis buckle does not close as smoothly as the original, but it definitely looks cooler. The belt lies flatter and the buckle is more dressy. This buckle is great with business and semi-formal wear.
These are great buckles that dress up the belt, plus, they do not make as much noise as the roller buckle that comes with the belt. Easy to swap back and forth depending on need.
