Description

The Highland by Hanks Belts quickly could become your favorite belt in the closet.

It doesn't matter if you are wearing jeans and a sweatshirt or a sport coat and tie the Highland looks equally at home with either ensemble.

The top layer is made from the finest English bridle leather that is vegetable tanned for a finish that only gets better with age. We back it with a premium leather lining that looks just as beautiful as the front.

Vegetable tanning does not contain any harsh chemicals like chromium tanned leather. Mimosa powder, which is derived from tree bark from Africa, gives the rich finish of the leather used on these belts. The vegetable tanning process takes six weeks from rawhide to finished leather ready to be cut and sewn into a Hanks Belt. The process is lengthy but worthwhile. The final step is a hand burnishing of every hide that is labor-intensive but results in a finish that just cannot be achieved any other way.

Vegetable-tanned leather develops a patina that uniquely improves with age. The character develops with wear giving each belt its own individual characteristics.

We used the premium stainless steel low profile roller buckle on this belt to bring it all together. The nickel-free buckle on the Hanks Highland belt makes it the perfect choice for those with nickel allergies.

The Highland is the perfect all-around belt for any occasion.
